Engineering Maintenance Manager

 

Job Summary

Lead and coordinate activities in the engineering and maintenance department(s) to meet organizational objectives in engineering, equipment up time, process improvement, productivity, employee relations, safety, quality, and maintenance costs.           

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Knowledgeable in such skilled maintenance activities as:  electrical, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, welding, carpentry, pneumatics, mechanical or machining type work.                                                                             
  • Coordinates maintenance activities.                                                                              
  • Interprets diagrams, specifications and drawings.                                                                                    
  • Performs all work in compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.                                                                             
  • Manages Engineer and Maintenance Associates.                                                                                      
  • Assists in development, implementation and revision of Preventative Maintenance Program.                                                             
  • Oversee performance reviews.                             
  • Manage engineering and maintenance projects and makes presentations.                                                                                            
  • Communicate engineering tasks and requirements between departments.                                                                                         
  • Determine cost savings in assembly areas.                                                                                                       
  • Report engineering activity status to department managers.          
  • Report engineering activity status to department managers.                                                                                                    
  • Technical advisor to management.                                                                                                     
  • Technical advisor to all departments.
  • Ability to create Capex proposals for appropriate projects

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred.
  • Five years of leadership experience required.
  • 10 years of engineering and maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to lead and inspire others in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain engineering and maintenance programs.
  • Excellent communication and problems solving skills.
