POSITION: Facilities Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for performing general maintenance duties throughout the production facility. Performs routine preventive maintenance and ensures that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs PM maintenance and repair activities on facility related equipment including , but not limited to:
Knowledge – Requires good written and verbal communication. Must have a working knowledge of three-phase electrical, electronic & mechanical systems. Able to design & layout utility installations for practical application. Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. with 3 to 5 years minimum in industrial maintenance and infrastructure equipment maintenance. Must have basic computer literacy skills. Any field concentration certifications such as welding, electrical & plumbing are considered a plus. Must be certified to drive a man lift & forklift.
Mental – Requires a relatively high degree of concentration and attention to detail to inspect maintenance tasks and repair them properly. Requires ability to read schematic diagrams and blueprints while troubleshooting maintenance tasks.
Physical – Requires walking and standing a majority of the time, lifting weights up to 50 lbs. frequently, stooping and bending.
Environmental – Requires capability of performing essential job functions in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to all weather conditions. Requires working at heights above 30 ft. and the handling of hazardous materials, wearing required personal safety equipment.
Manual Dexterity – Requires using hands, arms and/or feet for operating forklift, power tools, hand tools and office equipment.
Audio/Visual – Requires the ability to verbally communicate with all departments to identify and correct maintenance requests. Requires the ability to read written instructions, diagrams and other documentation and operate office equipment such as computers and facsimile machines. Requires the ability to differentiate color-coded wires and paint colors.
